Thank you all for being a part of such an awesome first Kickstarter journey. We surpassed our goal and unlocked all the expansion content for Moonshell: Lunar Reef, which is so exciting!Β
I also want to share some of the real life merfolk out there bringing joy to aquariums, birthday parties, and online in this post. Scroll down to check them out!
Games are for everyone and mermaids are for everyone!
Lunar Reef Expansion Content
We unlocked the sea anemone tile and the clownfish tile, which you can optionally add to the seashell bag during set-up.
The sea anemone tile and the clownfish tile go together! While not worth any points on their own, if you can collect one and then another, you can stack the second one onto same space in your treasure chest. Each stack of sea anemone + clownfish is worth 3 points at the end of the game. Clownfish just want to find an anemone to make their home!
In addition, the 12 event cards add a whole new mechanic to the game! Each round, before the first player's turn, draw an event card. It will either outline an action taken immediately, or an action players may or must make on their turn. Examples include:
- Each player may pull two as a free action during their turn.
- Before their turn, each player may swap two adjacent tiles in the ocean as a free action.
- Immediately rotate the board twice.
