Moonshell surveys and store coming soon

We have confirmation to open the Moonshell pre-order store with Backerkit and will start sending out surveys tomorrow! You may not get one right away. Please wait a week before reaching out if you don't receive your survey.

In the survey you will be able to adjust your pledge order by adding on any additional copies of the game, pins and/or deluxe wooden inserts. It will show you your total cost, including taxes if applicable and shipping, but it will not charge you until we close the store.  The store will close in about a month or so to give everyone ample time to complete the survey.

The store will also be open for late pledges! So if Kickstarter was unable to charge your card, or if you know someone else who would enjoy getting a copy of Moonshell, they can still join the party! 

Our next order of business is an update regarding the games progress!

Moonshell prototypes from the manufacturer are in production and expected to be here within the next week or two. When the games arrive we will be sharing an unboxing video and discussing any changes we will make for the final version of the game. Another thing of note, the game will be shipped out to Sandbox Gaming so that they can prepare the deluxe wooden inserts to fit the game to perfection. 

Our plan now is to produce timely updates in regards to manufacturing progress and timelines -how soon it will hit your doorstep. a As previously stated we are hoping to get the games to you by the end of this year and if all goes well, even sooner!

First Social Stretch Goal Unlocked!

Thank you everyone for sharing the campaign on Facebook and helping us unlock the alternate art for the  sea urchin tiles.

We had over 100 shares for the campaign page today, with a total of 500 shares since we pre-launched. Way to go!

In Moonshell, the sea urchin tiles start coming out onto the ocean after you've collected a lot of seashells. They are worth 1 point each if you collect them into your treasure chest, but they won't help you complete the main objective cards.

48-Hour Progress

While we didn’t hit our 48 hour funding stretch goal - we did pretty well with 60% funding in 48 hours. So while we don’t have the funding momentum to create brand new mermaid objectives - we will use those 6 card spaces to create reference cards for the solo version of the game! It will just streamline the solo version and make it a little easier to play without having to have the rulebook in front of you.

The actual cards will be revealed during the campaign!

Game Content Revealed

Now, for the most exciting news, we spoke to our manufacturer and we're able to add in some extra content while staying within our budget for the game production!

So...we will be adding the Darkside Mermaids to the game. (and more stuff to come!)

Each of the four mermaid characters currently in the game will flip over to have a darker side with alternate art and alternate abilities. These abilities are also a little more competitive. We’ve been calling them the active abilities, since they have their own free action instead of augmenting one of the available actions.

Darkside Hibiscus Mermaid & Ability

Tide Pool - Place your mermeeple on a tile in the water- no one else can collect it.

Darkside Koi Mermaid & Ability

Inlet - Place your mermeeple on a rock space in front of you. No one else may take collect tiles from that space.

Darkside Kelpie Mermaid & Ability

Buoy - Place your mermeeple on an empty space on your treasure board. Anytime later, when collecting a tile, you may replace your mermeeple with that tile.
 

Darkside Crystal Mermaid & Ability

Swap - Place your mermeeple on a tile on your treasure board. You may swap it with another tile on your board, but they must be either the same shape or color (the moonshell cannot be swapped).

We are very close to 70% here at the beginning of Day 4, slow and steady wins the race. 🐢

UV Spot Highlight Box

Way to go on reaching over 100 combined likes and comments on the launch video! It's also over 3,000 views, nice.

We'll be able to add some fun uv spot highlight onto the title and mermaid scales on the box cover! 🐟

Next Social Goal: Join the Facebook Group

One door unlocks, another opens! Join the Moonshell Community Group on Facebook, and when we reach 200 members, we'll unlock additional collector objective cards for even more replayablity. 

Don't forget, we are getting closer to unlocking a new mermaid character when we reach 700 Instagram followers. We can do it!
